  • Dana Walker, Project Manager

    Dana Walker joined Isotron in 2009 as a Project Manager. He will also be working to establish and manage the new Isotron Laboratory facilities. He brings over 25 years of wide ranging analytical chemistry experience to the Isotron team. He has managed a full service laboratory and has extensive experience in the government sector as well as a strong bench and instrumental chemistry background. In addition to his strong technical skills, Dana has a demonstrated expertise in customer service, his proven leadership skills consistently create client service teams that operate efficiently and effectively. Dana has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry.

  • Hank Lomasney, Chief Scientist

    Hank’s background entails 30+ years of experience in the R&D, marketing, production distribution and field technical service related to high performance protective coatings and advanced polymer related materials. Hank received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tulane University. He worked for NASA as assistant Project Manager at the Michoud Assembly Facility during the time of the Apollo Project. He was a part of the team responsible for the first stage rocket’s assembly. Mr. Lomasney is a Professional Engineer and member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He has 13 patents (plus two provisionals) and a number of technical publications. He is a co-inventor of the polymer membrane strippable coating technology used for immersion service in nuclear power plant decontamination. Hank is the author of several publications on the subjects of electrokinetic decontamination technology, strippable decontamination coatings and advanced surface coating technologies.

  • Jayne Shelton, President

    Jayne has been a member of the Isotron team since 2004, when she joined the company as an engineer supporting radionuclide countermeasures research. She now manages all of the company’s R&D programs, which include chemical warfare agent demilitarization coatings, devices for detecting radionuclides in drinking water, and other materials development efforts that are focused on chemical, biological, and radiological threat remediation. Prior to joining Isotron, Jayne applied her ceramic engineering background in advanced materials research for NASA, Air Force, and Missile Defense Agency programs where she designed ceramics for use in rocket monopropellants and catalytic monolith microthrusters. She received a BS in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Washington.

  • Patsy Yuen, Materials Engineer

    Patsy has worked for Isotron as a Materials Engineer since 2007. She received a B.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Washington. Patsy utilizes her engineering background to engage in R&D work relating to decontamination technologies for military and environmental applications. She is the analytical test lead at Isotron for these technologies. During her studies at the University of Washington, Patsy developed recommendations for the reduction and elimination of corrosion of aluminum-alloyed aircraft stored outdoors at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA. That study resulted in a novel design and assembly of two test racks for on-site environmental corrosion analysis.

  • Tom Molloy, Senior Research Chemist

    Tom has been a member of the Isotron team since 2008, when he joined the company as Senior Research Chemist formulating strippable chemical and biological remediation coatings. He currently is formulating the next generation of chemical warfare agent demilitarization coatings and was recently named Project Manager for a specialized coatings application project. Prior to joining Isotron, Tom applied his expertise in polymers and coatings to new product development in the field of daylight fluorescent pigments, where he developed the first formaldehyde free fluorescent pigment for Crayola Crayons, and developed successful new product lines for the paint, coatings, plastics, textile, and ink markets which included products for Hallmark Cards, Hasbro Toys (Play-doh), Remington Arms, Champion Target, Pitney Bowes, Sherwin Williams, Arm & Hammer, and Proctor and Gamble. In addition, Tom has extensive experience in the aerosol products and architectural coatings fields. He received a BS in Chemistry from Kent State University.

  • Lucia Lebens

    Lucia received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. She is a Vice President with mCapitol Management in Washington, D.C. and manages Isotron’s government customer relations. As an accomplished senior professional with the proven ability to manage, facilitate and strategize at high levels she brings over 10 years of experience in both the private and public sectors. Ms. Lebens served as Deputy Chief of Staff to United States Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN). In this position, she served as one of the Senator’s key advisors on issues related to strategic messaging, public policy coordination, process development, constituent service outreach and operations. She also served as the primary office liaison to both the Senate Committee on Ethics and the Rules and Administration Committee.

  • Christina Lomasney, Chairman

    Christina has a BS in Physics from the University of Washington. She conducted her undergraduate research in the D.T. Schwartz Electrochemistry Group and later completed studies towards an MS in Physics. Christina previously worked at Boeing in a variety of capacities including as lead on programs related to advanced metals manufacturing in the Prototype Machining Center. Christina co-founded Isotron Corporation in 2001 and served as President/CEO through 2006. She took this company to profitability without outside investment and currently serves as its Chairman. Christina has authored articles and is named inventor on pending patents in the field of large-scale environmental remediation and advanced materials. She formerly served as Chairman of the ASTM Subcommittee on Decontamination and Homeland Security Response, where she remains an active member.

  • Kevin Billings

    Kevin most recently served as the Acting Assistant Secretary to the Air Force for Installations, Environment and Logistics. Secretary Billings is also the newest addition to the Isotron Board, and someone whose commitment to energy and national security issues has spanned decades. Kevin managed the USAF’s overall energy portfolio, including all new energy initiatives. As the senior energy official, Billings led the Air Force Energy Strategy and was focused on helping reduce its energy consumption in support of DoD and Presidential Directives for greater energy independence and national security. His responsibilities included developing and mandating energy strategy and policies, meeting energy goals, reporting the energy security posture, and managing the Air Force's culture change related to energy usage. Mr. Billings is currently the Director of Federal Energy Efficiency Programs at Lockheed Martin. In this capacity, he is working with the Company’s customers to address the nation's energy and climate challenges in the areas of energy efficiency, management, next-generation alternative energies, and climate monitoring. Additionally, Secretary Billings serves on the faculty at the Institute for National Security Studies at the National Defense University.

  • Dan Rosen

    Dan Rosen is CEO and President of Dan Rosen & Associates, an early-stage technology investment and advisory firm. Dan was General Manager of New Technology in Microsoft, where he was responsible for assessing Microsoft’s new technology needs and finding innovative ways to meet those needs through increasing internal research efforts, licensing, investment, or acquisition. Prior to Microsoft, Dan was at AT&T for 15 years, where he served as Vice President and General Manager of AT&T Consumer Interactive Services. Dan has a B.A. in Biology from Brandeis University and a Ph.D in Biophysics from University of California, San Diego. He holds several patents in communications and Internet technologies. He chairs the Seattle Alliance of Angels and sits on the boards of the Technology Alliance, The Humane Society of Seattle and King County, Geospiza, and University of Washington Tech Transfer.

  • Professor Brian Flinn

    Brian obtained his MS in Metallurgical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a PhD in Materials Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Brian is a professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Washington. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer of Metallurgy in the State of Washington. Brian's research at the University is focused on the relationships between material processing, structure, and properties in a variety of materials, with the goal of improving structural properties by relating the processing to the microstructure and subsequent mechanical behavior. Fundamental research areas include the relationship between strength and fracture behavior of materials to their processing technique and resulting microstructure, including the effect of deformation induced residual stresses on the fracture and fatigue behavior of metals. Brian is currently consulting with the Modumetal team on a number of performance studies, including high impact fracture events, such as would be experienced in ballistic and blast conditions.

  • Joe Whitford

    Joe Whitford focuses his corporate finance practice in the emerging-company sector, where he has served for more than 30 years as general counsel and advisor to high-growth software, health care, medical device, biotech, wireless and specialty retail business ventures. He has guided management, boards of directors and investors through founder formation matters, equity compensation planning, angel and venture capital investments, strategic partnerships, license arrangements, mergers and acquisitions, and public offerings. Prior to private practice, Joe was an attorney with the Division of Corporation Finance at the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. Joe was ranked in the top 17 Corporate/Commercial lawyers in Washington by Chambers & Partners in 2009.

  • Colin Sandercock

    Colin Sandercock is a partner in Perkins Coie’s Patent Litigation group and practices in the area of life sciences, including licensing, patent and trademarks, and intellectual property, and has counseled clients in life science matters including district court litigation, interferences, licensing and the management of domestic and foreign patent portfolios. His technical experience includes biotechnologies, pharmaceutical chemistry, organic and inorganic chemistry, medical devices, and chemical and biochemical engineering. Colin has served as an adjunct professor of law at George Washington University Law School, lecturing on the licensing of intellectual property rights, and on the AAA Patent Advisory Committee for patent Disputes. He has also served as legal counsel to CENSA (Collaborative Electronic Notebook Systems Association) and frequently lectures on the topics of electronic record keeping for use in research, litigation and interferences.
